The perks of a medicine cat...

Treeleaf sat at Starhill. His black pelt glimmered in the moonlight. If it wasn't for his glowing yellow eyes he'd be almost invisible. His seemingly unkempt pelt lay still as a short wind blew past him.

Treeleaf twitched his ear at the on coming of the wind. He took a deep breath and then blinked a single time. He waited in silence as he gently grazed his tail in the grass.

Back.... and forth.

Nightvine watched the new medicine cat. She slowly padded up to him. "Greetings, Treeleaf. I have been expecting you. I am Nightvine. Great danger is coming to the forest. Listen carefully." Her voice became ancient. "The sky and the earth will become one, and howls of evil will fill the air. The forest will not be moved by the suffering of many and flames will be smothered by the healers." "You must carry this message to Lakestar, your leader." She slowly disappeared into the night.

Treeleaf listened silently to the message of Nightvine. He listened to the prophecy she spoke to him, not faltering. He didn't once change his expression. Not even a wave of confusion flowed from his pelt. He just sat there, almost emotionaless, listening to the old cats message.

When it was over her got up and left the hill. He never spoke a word, and wouldn't till he got back to camp.
